Easter is a time for spiritual renewal, and Spring brings the promise of refreshment. Spring also happens to be one of my favorite seasons and the time when I reflect on people whom I loved and who have passed. One of those individuals was my grandfather Don Juan Martinez. He lived next door to me. And during this season he began to work in his yard - planting flowers, removing the debris, and scalping the yard to allow for new grass to come in. I remember the spring flowers, especially the Crocus, which were rare to see in other yards...
