South Plains Food Bank will be closed Friday, February 19th, 2021, due to road conditions, winter weather and potential power outages. We encourage everyone to stay home and stay safe, try to conserve energy where you can. We anticipate resuming operations on Monday and will assess roads closer to that time for possible delays.
City Cultural Facilities, Museums and Libraries Closed Wednesday to Conserve Energy
Due to statewide electricity concerns caused by extreme weather conditions, the City will close the Buddy Holly Center, Garden & Arts Center, Silent Wings Museum, and all Lubbock Library Branches on Wednesday, February 19, 2021 to conserve energy. Community Centers will provide Senior Meals, but will close after lunch.
